Are You Insane?

As a chiropractor, you need to understand that you’re an entrepreneur. Chiropractors don’t have the luxury of plugging into a successful system upon graduation like medical doctors do. Instead, we have to fight, claw, and work our way into success from day one. However, the sad truth is that most of us don’t make it. Instead, we patch together a system of inefficiency that only allows us to reach low to medium levels of income.

But THERE IS HOPE! And, it’s found in AMC! Dr. Owen, AMC’s founder, developed a system over 50 years ago that’s incredibly efficient. It’s literally brought success to tens of thousands of chiropractors across this great land.

What can a Chiropractor learn from a Man who wears Panty Hose?? (Part I)

FUN, I believe, is often a key missing ingredient in today’s practice.  Now without jumping onto a soapbox, if your practice isn’t a place where you, staff, and your patients can have fun… with what we offer to heal the suffering… then something is seriously wrong. Awhile back, I asked some colleagues to answer the question “What are some things that you do to have fun in practice?”…  Here are some of the answers… I’ll start with some of mine…

Boldly Go!

I had a patient come up to me following my patient orientation class, and he said, “Doc, I wonder if you can help me.” So, I asked him what the problem was and he responded, “Well, I drive a service truck for a heating and air conditioning company, and I have to get out ten to twelve times a day to go to the bathroom.” He said, “It feels like when I urinate that my bladder is still full. Then I get back into my van, hook up the seat belt, and I feel like I have to go all over again. I was just about to go see a urologist, but do you think chiropractic can help?”

The Gift of Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a gift Doctor, and what you do with that gift is up to you…… it has been entrusted to you and I believe that you have a responsibility to deliver it in the very best way EVERY time you place your hands on a patient, you do NOT know how far reaching it will be on that day, in that particular moment.

Achieving your Purpose

Finding balance in life is not easy. We all tend to overemphasize the purposes we feel most passionate about and neglect the others. The best way to achieve balance is to evaluate ourselves periodically. As you work on developing yourself and defining your purpose, has it ever occurred that you could possibly be the most important link for saving this awesome profession?

Break your wishbone!

Have you spent your life wishing things were better? Wishing things were different? Wishing for a happier home life, a better work situation, or just  more in general? Well, my advice to you is to quit living your life with this “Wishbone” in your hands. Grow some “Backbone.”
