I never really struggled with getting new patients into my office, where I fell short was understanding how important it is for them to get the proper kind of care.
I am sure that will catch the attention of some who are reading this, but it is true. I can run an ad in the local paper and get several new patients to respond enthusiastically. The problem, however, was that my “training” in chiropractic told me that I could “fix” those patients within 3-6 visits, and that if I didn’t, I was doing something wrong.
Fast forward from 1995 to present day. I now know what it means to help a patient understand true “health,” and how integral chiropractics is to achieving that. Once I grasped the difference between relieving a patient’s pain and helping them discover a healthy lifestyle, everything in my life changed.
I went from a “friendship” practice (5-10 patients at the start of the day and closer to 25 at the end of the day) to developing and maintaining a chiropractic practice which takes patients from day one through a carefully prepared treatment, customized for each patient, but specific to the point that they achieve levels of health they didn’t realize were possible.
In a world where many health care professionals struggle to find their next patient, I enjoy a practice that treats over 800 patients a month and blesses me with a wonderful living for my family.
Once again, I have the passion and love for chiropractic that I had when I finished school many years ago. No longer do I struggle “convincing” a patient to come in one more time so that I can meet overhead that month. I have a practice that I am proud of, a staff that I love and which loves my patients in return, and a joy coming to work every morning which has eluded me for many years.

The number is staggering, and getting bigger all the time. We had a patient come into the office for BAD headaches, she had gone the medical route before trying chiropractic and they put her through a battery of tests including MRI, CAT scan, bloodwork, EEG, Nerve conduction studies, etc.
All of these “tests” were designed to diagnose her condition. The diagnosis ended up being classic migraine headaches!
NONE of the tests did anything to treat the patient, they simply diagnosed her condition! AT THE COST OF $7500. I am pleased to tell you that this particular patient is now headache free and well on her way to being the healthiest she has EVER been.
